A Scene at the Sea

Shigeru (Kurôdo Maki), a deaf garbage worker, is intrigued when he discovers a damaged surfboard during one of his rounds, despite his lack of surfing experience. As a result, he restores the board and sets out to learn how to surf with his devoted girlfriend Takako (Hiroko Oshima), who is also deaf. He has misfortunes and is mocked by the people. However, with the assistance of a shop owner who was once a surfing legend, Shigeru may finally be able to connect with the sea and the surfing community.
