A League of Their Own

As America's supply of athletic young men dwindles during WWII, a professional all-female baseball league emerges in the Midwest, backed by publicity-hungry candy manufacturer Walter Harvey (Garry Marshall). On their journey to fame, competitive sisters Dottie Hinson (Geena Davis) and Kit Keller (Lori Petty) spar with each other, scout Ernie Capadino (Jon Lovitz), and cranky has-been coach Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks).
