When David Wilson's young wife succumbs to cancer, he is left as a single working father with sole responsibility for his autistic sixth-grader. Patrick, or 'Po,' is a gifted but challenged child who was close to his mother and unable to express his own sense of loss. As the father and son struggle to adjust to life without their mother, they each withdraw into their own worlds. David into the high-pressure job he's on the verge of losing, and Po away from the school where he's bullied and into his magical fantasy world, the Land of Color, where he's just a typical carefree boy with a rich cast of otherworldly companions. The growing chasm between father and son, as well as the challenges of being a single parent to a special needs child, threaten to permanently separate David and Po. In Po, based on a true story, the bonds of love between a grieving father and son are put to the ultimate test.
