Laura Brummels is out to avenge the death of a young kid she could have saved. A political dictatorship that effectively corrupted her has placed her in a prison of guilt. Laura is sentenced to Aquila, where no one escapes and an annual rain floods the jail, killing everyone. One of the legendary guards is actually the young boy's killer, she learns. Avenge the boy's death and absolve her guilt. Luckily, another prisoner, Joseph, has survived the last flood and is trying to flee Aquila before the next one. I can't do it alone, he's discovered a cunning way to remove stones from the prison ceiling If he wants to escape, he must persuade his new cellmate to stop murdering.
