When the well-known actress Behnaz Jafari receives a video in which a young girl begs for aid because her family has refused to allow her to enroll at Tehran Theatrical University, she is at a loss as to what she should do. When Behnaz decides to abandon her shoot, she comes to director Jafar Panahi in order for the two of them to work together to help the young woman deal with her issues. Their journey takes them to the country's northwest region, where they come face to face with the charming and generous people of a mountain community. However, Behnaz and Jafar also notice that in these regions, the traditions of their forefathers and foremothers are what govern the manner of life in its entirety.
