Zen is a British TV miniseries made by Left Bank Pictures for the BBC. It was also made with WGBH Boston for its Masterpiece anthology series, Mediaset, and ZDF. It stars Rufus Sewell and Caterina Murino and is based on the detective novels about Aurelio Zen by Michael Dibdin. In spite of the fact that the series was shot in Italy, all of the dialogue is in English. Three 90-minute films made up the series, which aired on BBC One in the United Kingdom beginning in January 2011. The three movies were based on the books Vendetta, Cabal, and Ratking.
