When the Camellia Blooms
Dongbaek, an orphan who became a single mother, is the protagonist of When the Camellia Blooms. She operates a little bar named "Dongbaek," which means camellia in English. Meeting Yongsik, a do-gooder police officer in their little village, alters the course of her life. Despite the stigma associated with solo parenting, they fall in love. Having been raised by a single mother himself, Yongsik empathizes with Dongbaek's difficulties and loves her deeply.
