Deep Rooted Tree is a 2011 South Korean television series that stars Jang Hyuk, Shin Se-kyung, and Han Suk-kyu. Based on Lee Jeong-novel myeong's of the same name, it aired on SBS from October 5 to December 22, 2011 at 21:55 on Wednesdays and Thursdays. While King Sejong is in the process of creating the Korean written language, a royal guard is investigating the killings of Jiphyeonjeon scholars at Gyeongbok Palace. The series takes its name from an ancient poem that states that trees with deep roots do not wobble.
