Top Coppers
The television series Top Coppers chronicles the exploits of the law enforcement officers John Mahogany and Mitch Rust as they work to clean up the lawless underworld that exists in the made-up city of Justice City. The universe and the characters within it are inspired by the tropes of popular American and British police dramas from the 1970s and 1980s, such as Starsky & Hutch and The Professionals, although it does not take place in any one era or region of the world. In addition to its large, goofy characters and amusing storylines, the show Top Coppers is replete with well-known tropes and references from the police and action genres. It also draws inspiration from events, conflicts, and relationships that are common in British culture.
