Tokyo Ghoul
Ken Kaneki is a bookworm and college student who runs into a girl named Rize at a cafe that he frequents frequently. Because they are the same age and share the same interests, they become fast friends very soon. Kaneki is completely unaware of the fact that Rize is a ghoul, which is a type of monster that survives by hunting humans and feeding on their flesh. When a portion of her unique organ, known as "the red child," is transplanted into Kaneki, he is transformed into a ghoul and is subsequently imprisoned in a twisted world in which humans are not at the top of the food chain.
