Danish crime TV series Those Who Kill depicts a fictitious Copenhagen Police unit that investigates serial murders. In Denmark, the series aired as five two-part storylines, but in other countries, it was five feature films. A 92-minute feature film, Fortidens skygge, which continues and ends the series, premiered in Danish theaters on 15 March 2012 and is airing as the series' sixth and final episode in the UK and Germany. Elsebeth Egholm and Stefan Jaworski developed and wrote the series; Siv Rajendram, Rikke De Fine Licht, and Morten Dragsted wrote episodes. Birger Larsen, Niels Nrlv, and Kasper Barfoed were directors. Danish-German-Swedish-Norwegian co-produced. Due to low viewership after the first few episodes, Danish TV2 declared in October 2011 that no more seasons will be made. TV2 programming manager Keld Reinicke said, "We don't plan to continue the series because it didn't perform well in Denmark."
