The Zone
One of the commerce and gaming channels available on Freeview is referred to as "The Zone." The channel is an interactive gaming and home shopping programming block, with teleshopping portions provided by JML and gaming segments provided by Jackpot247. On November7,2011, a placeholder caption titled "The Zone: Coming soon, The place to shop and play" appeared on Freeview channel39, which transmitted on multiplex A. The caption stated that the phrase would be updated shortly. The channel went live on November14,2011, and began programming between the hours of 18:00 pm and 6:00 am; however, it did not become accessible in Wales until January9, 2012. The channel rotates its programming with CITV.
