The Time of Our Lives follows the Tivolli family as they negotiate relationships, parenting, love, careers, divorce, disability, and happiness. Matt, the older brother, is a high-flying sports agent who is having trouble with his obsessive wife Caroline. Despite a hectic workload and financial challenges, Luce's younger brother operates a far more tranquil family with long-term companion Bernadette. Chai Li, the youngest, was adopted as a baby from Vietnam and is now a successful and happy thirty-something, until her world is turned upside down by a humiliating turn of events.
