The Real Housewives of Vancouver is a Canadian reality television show that airs on the Slice cable network in Canada. It is the franchise's debut edition in Canada; production began in August 2011 for the Shaw Media series. On April4,2012, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the show premiered. The two-hour premiere set a new record for the network, with 1.2 million viewers tuning in. Slice announced on May 30, 2012, that the series had been renewed for a second season. Season two production began in July2012, with the return of Jody Claman, Ronnie Seterdahl Negus, and Mary Zilba, as well as the addition of Amanda Hansen, Ioulia Reynolds, and Robin Richmond Reichman to the cast. The second season premiered at 10 p.m. ET/PT on February 5, 2013. Slice opted out of a reunion for the second season in order to avoid having to cut the season further shorter. On June6,2013, Shaw Media-the series's parent company-announced that the series has been placed "on pause" as the business investigates other programming options.
