The PJs
Eddie Murphy, Larry Wilmore, and Steve Tompkins established The PJs. It was modeled after the Brewster-Douglass housing developments in Detroit, where Diana Ross and Lily Tomlin formerly lived. The sitcom starred Eddie Murphy and was produced by Imagine Entertainment, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, The Murphy Company, Will Vinton Studios, Touchstone TV, and Warner Bros. TV. The series premiered on Fox on January10,1999, after a football playoff game. The second episode followed King of the Hill two days later.
