QM Productions and United Artists Television teamed up to develop the American drama series The Fugitive, which ran on ABC from 1963 to 1967. Roy Huggins was the show's creator and executive producer. David Janssen plays Richard Kimble, a doctor who is wrongfully imprisoned and sentenced to die for the murder of his wife. He was on his way to be executed when his train derailed and crashed allowing him to flee the nation in search of the "one armed guy." Police are also after Dr. Kimble, with Police Lieutenant Philip Gerard being the most persistent. After four seasons, there were 120 51-minute episodes of The Fugitive. All four seasons were shot in black and white; the final season was colored. In October 2012, Me-TV began airing The Fugitive on a weekly basis. It was voted No. 36 on TV Guide's list of the greatest television shows ever made in 2002. The one-armed man was ranked No. 5 on TV Guide's list of the 60 nastiest villains of all time for the year 2013.
