The Avengers

There is a British television series called "The Avengers" that aired in the 60s. In the beginning, the Avengers were preoccupied with Dr. David Keel and John Steed, his assistant. After the first season, Hendry left and Steed became the primary character, accompanied by a succession of assistants. Cathy Gale, Emma Peel, and Tara King were Steed's most well-known assistants, all of whom were stylish, educated, and forceful women. In the later episodes, science fiction and fantasy, parody, and British eccentricity became more prominent.
