Allison "Sonny" Munroe relocates from the Midwest to Los Angeles in order to join the cast of "So Random!," the most popular sketch comedy television program for children and adolescents. Her fellow youthful actresses are the resident teen queen Tawni, the very suave Nico, the boisterous comedian Grady, and the eccentric Zora. Now Sonny must find a way to combine these new friendships while adjusting to her family's drastically altered lifestyle in Hollywood. In the meantime, Sonny must also battle with Chad Dylan Cooper, the star of the competing show "MacKenzie Falls," who believes that his dramatic work is superior to her comic career.
