New Worlds is an enthralling four-part miniseries about love, tragedy, and the human cost of the liberties and freedoms we have today. We follow the fate of four young individuals, Beth, Hope, Abe, and Ned, caught up in these dangerous times on both sides of the Atlantic. We observe them battling as they are caught between love and principles amid the harsh realities of a world in constant change. In England, Charles II's restored monarchy had broken its promises and reverted to tyranny. Behind the decadence of the Court, a terror machine represses the freedoms secured for the people during the English Civil War, when Charles I was executed. In America, the tentacles of state terror reach the English colonists of New England who are attempting to break free of the English Crown. At the same time, the colonists are violently establishing their claim to the areas occupied by the Native American Indians, shedding a great deal of American Indian blood in the process-a terrible reminder of the oppressive behavior they fled when they crossed the Atlantic.
