Mayo
Gil Mayo, the charismatic investigator, and his attractive partner, Alex Jones, solve a variety of murder mysteries with the help of wisecracks and other comedic repartee. Things aren't as straightforward as they appear to be between the two former flames because it's possible that the current stage of flirtation will lead to anything more; the question is, who will make the first move? Following the disappearance of his wife, Gil is solely responsible for the upbringing of their precocious adolescent daughter, Julie. Since Gil's wife is no longer around, this has added an additional layer of complexity to their lives. However, the investigator does come up with a creative solution to the problem of how to deal with the mountains of invoices that he keeps getting: he hides them in the closet.
