Little Bear

The Little Bear book series was written by Else Holmelund Minarik, and the illustrations for those books were done by Maurice Sendak. The Canadian children's television series Maurice Sendak's Little Bear is an educational program that is based on the books in the Little Bear book series. It was originally developed by Nelvana for Nickelodeon, but it now airs on Treehouse TV in Canada and Nick Jr. in the United States. It was initially broadcast in the United Kingdom on the Children's BBC, and then became a part of the Toy Box BBC video collection in the late 1990s. It was also broadcast on Nick Jr. UK, and it can currently be seen on Tiny Pop. After the conclusion of the series, a feature-length film adapted specifically for direct-to-video and DVD release was also produced.
