Jonas
Jonas, formerly "J.O.N.A.S.," is a Disney Channel Original Series featuring the Jonas Brothers. The brothers play the "Lucas Brothers," three members of "JONAS" who try to live a normal life despite popularity. The pilot was filmed in 2007, but the WGA strike put the series on hold. The filming date was moved from January to September 2008. The series premiered on Disney Channel on May 2, 2009, and went on-demand on April 25, 2009. JONAS is the first DCOS since Phil of the Future not to have a live studio audience or laugh track. The sitcom was the first on the network to air on a Saturday, part of Disney's aim to open up the night to original content and compete with Nickelodeon. The Hollywood Center Studios series is situated in New Jersey.
