In 19th-century England, young nobleman Jonathan Joestar rivals low-born Dio Brando, whom Jonathan's father took in after Dio's father's death. Discontent with his station in life, Dio's quest to reign over all leads him to seek the magical powers of an ancient Aztec stone mask in the Joestars' possession— a relic that will permanently transform Dio and Jonathan's destiny. In 1938 New York City, Jonathan's grandson Joseph Joestar must learn the talents needed to remove the stone mask and its creators, the Pillar men, who threaten humanity's very existence.
