Graham Duff wrote and produced the dark comedy sitcom Ideal for BBC Three. It stars Johnny Vegas as pot dealer Moz. It's set in Salford, Greater Manchester, because Duff did stand-up there as a teenager. Most of the series takes place at Moz's flat and revolves around the folks who visit to buy cannabis or socialize. The concluding theme is "Song of the Oss" by British band Candidate. The series also contains Ugly Duckling. It aired on BBC Three, 3e in Ireland, and ABC2 in Australia. Seven series have aired since2005; the latest finished 30 June 2011. BBC canceled Ideal after its sixth season. Graham Duff emailed to supporters after the announcement: "The BBC has chosen not to make an 8th season of Ideal. New channel controller wanted a clean slate. At the time of cancellation, Ideal had its largest crowds, highest-profile guest stars, and greatest reviews. The show is being aired from America to Finland and beyond." Petitioners want to save the show.
