The narrative focuses on two characters from the same educational establishment: a young man named Lee Sin, who is famous at his high school for his band team known as "The Stupid," and a young lady named Lee Gyo Won, who is dedicated to the traditional music of Korea. The addiction to drugs that led to Lee Sin's mother, Song Ji Yeong, and her son's father splitting up a long time ago is what has brought Lee Sin's father, Lee Hyun Soo, to the brink of death. Lee Hyun Soo was a famous guitarist in his day but is now on his deathbed as a result of his addiction to drugs. The grandfather of the female protagonist, Lee Gyo Won, is Lee Dong-jin, who is regarded as one of the top three traditional musicians of his generation. His greatest hope is that his granddaughter will follow in his footsteps and become a traditional music prodigy. He has a strong aversion to modern music because, in his opinion, it strays too far from the established norms. The high school celebrates its centennial with an event called "The 100th Year Anniversary," during which students get the chance to demonstrate their abilities. Will Lee Sin be able to follow in his father's footsteps and demonstrate his mastery of contemporary music?
