In Jakarta's bustling streets and alleyways, a parallel universe of murderous creatures from Indonesian mythology has coexisted with humanity for centuries. A powerful family of mortals has concealed the true identity of these "Demit" for ages, despite the fact that they have assumed human form. The emergence of a mysterious supernatural occurrence known only as the Gift will expose this secret world. Sarah, a teenage street artist, unexpectedly finds herself in the eye of the storm as the day of the Gift approaches. Once the Demit know who Sarah is and what she must do, humans and Demit are placed on a collision course that threatens to permanently alter the balance between their two worlds.
