Andie is hopeless when it comes to finding a boyfriend since her older brother Alec, who is the most well-liked student at their high school, makes sure that no male comes near her. Andie is fortunate in that her three closest friends are able to assist her in overcoming the stereotype of the little sister. Dakota, Andie's gay best friend who is more than secure in his own sexuality; Imogen, Andie's innocent and recently graduated from home school wallflower; and Courtney, Alec's girlfriend and last year's homecoming queen who can't let go of her high school days. These four individuals each have extremely distinct personalities, but they get together to help each other navigate the hormone-fueled and anxious waters of high school.
