Duck Dynasty is an A&E reality television series. It depicts the lives of the Robertson family, who grew affluent through their family-owned business, Duck Commander, which is based in West Monroe, Louisiana and manufactures equipment for duck hunters, particularly the Duck Commander duck call. Phil and Si Robertson, as well as Phil's sons Jase, Willie, and Jep, are famed for their long beards. Phil Robertson began his career in a family shed, where he spent 25 years manufacturing duck calls from Louisiana cedar trees. Willie, his son, is currently the company's CEO. The family has previously been on the Outdoor Channel's Benelli Presents Duck Commander and its spin-off Buck Commander. The show has smashed multiple A&E and cable television ratings records; the fourth season premiere drew 11.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched nonfiction cable telecast in history.
