Dr. Ken is an exceptionally talented doctor, but he has poor bedside demeanor. He works hard to be a good physician, and he also works hard to be a decent husband and father to his two children. Nevertheless, despite everyone's best efforts, these well-meaning efforts have a way of driving them insane, both at work and at home. It's a good thing his wife Allison is a therapist since she's the ideal person to help keep things in perspective.
