Dirty Jobs is a Discovery Channel program produced by Pilgrim Films & Television in which host Mike Rowe performs arduous, bizarre, repulsive, or dirty occupational activities alongside regular employees. In November 2003, the show launched with two pilot episodes. The series returned on July 26, 2005, and ran for eight seasons till September 12, 2012. For the eighth season, Dirty Jobs relocated to Australia and was rebranded as Dirty Jobs Down Under. Peter Schmeichel, a former goalie from Denmark, hosts the European version of the show. Mike Rowe said on November 21, 2012 that Discovery Channel had canceled Dirty Jobs.
