Da Ali G Show is the name of two linked satirical television programmes produced by Sacha Baron Cohen and starring him as the character Ali G. The first season originally aired on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, and the second on HBO in the United States. The second series was known in the United Kingdom and Australia as Ali G in da USAiii. In the series, Baron Cohen portrays three unconventional journalists: the protagonist Ali G, a Kazakh named Borat Sagdiyev, and an Austrian homosexual named Brüno Gehard. During conversations with unsuspecting individuals, the group asks silly and stupid questions. On July 23, 2005, HBO said there were no plans to produce a further season of the show. Ali G Indahouse, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, and Brüno are the three films in which Baron Cohen has portrayed each of his three characters from the program.
