Arctic Circle
During a regular check of an ancient cottage in the wintery wilderness, Finnish policewoman Nina Kautsalo uncovers two dead prostitutes and a third who is still battling for her life. When an exceedingly uncommon and lethal virus is detected in the bloodwork of the surviving woman, the investigation takes an unexpected turn. Thomas Lorenz, a German virologist, is recruited to aid in identifying and containing the virus after the Finnish Bureau of Investigation assumes responsibility for the case. Nina and Thomas must rely on one another if they are to have any chance of rescuing their loved ones from the arctic circle. What takes precedence, then? A lethal virus or active serial killer?
