American High
American High is a documentary television show set in Highland Park, Illinois, depicting the lives of fourteen students at Highland Park High School. After four episodes on Fox, the show was canceled. Later, PBS took it up and aired the full thing. R. J. Cutler, a documentary filmmaker with numerous awards, created the series. The show won an Emmy for Outstanding Non-Fiction Program in 2001. Bouncing Souls wrote and performed the show's theme song, "American High." Yearbook, a Fox Network documentary series that aired in1991, likewise focused on suburban Chicago high school students' lives.
