Nick Twisp, a teenager who is a devotee of Albert Camus and Jean-Luc Godard, is out of his element when his mother and her boyfriend move the family to a trailer park. Nick falls in love at first sight with Sheeni, a neighbor who plays French crooner albums. Nick is a disillusioned and inexperienced young man. Nick embarks on a funny mission to win Sheeni's heart and bed after learning that she is seeing someone else.
