Wondrous Boccaccio
The year is 1348. Florence has been devastated by the plague. A group of young people, seven women and three men at the time, rebel against the sense of impending death. They flee the city for an abandoned villa in the Tuscan hills. They pass the time here, between moral doubts and the tasks required for survival, by telling each other stories until they decide to return. The stories are varied - tragic, bizarre, funny, or erotic - but the female presence is common and central to all of them.
