Ed and Sarah, a young urban couple, are about to embark on a new chapter in their lives when they relocate from London to an isolated border Scottish farmhouse. When the couple fell in love with the 19th century Castle Farm and realized it had the potential to be a fixer-upper, they were eager to begin work on the property. Sarah believes she can hear things in the darkness while in bed on their first night together, but Ed is skeptical, claiming that it is just her imagination playing tricks on her. She forces Ed to explore since she is adamant that they are not alone in the house. The next morning, when he doesn't show up for work after an unusually extended period of time, she walks downstairs to check only to be surprised by an enthusiastic group of masked burglars. A deadly game of cat and mouse unfolds between her and the unidentified intruders as she urgently attempts to locate Ed. Nevertheless, what do they desire from the two arrivals, and what horrors do they have in store for them?
