The politics, the history, and the religious beliefs held on this island cause people to turn their backs on the sea, despite the fact that the island is surrounded by water on all sides. The audience is taken out to sea and then brought into the water while oceanic literature author Liao Hung-chi and underwater photographer Ray Chin give a presentation. They encourage us to gain a better understanding of the ocean and to consider the potential that our lives and the future of our nation will be shaped by the water in some way.
