Star Roxy Carmichael is leaving the bright lights of Hollywood, Calif., to come back to her small hometown in Ohio for a short time. She will be dedicating a city building. When Carmichael returns to town, the whole town of Clyde is ready. Denton Webb and Dinky Bossetti, her now-married old flame and troubled teen, have the most to fear. Dinky is an orphan who has few friends. She thinks Carmichael is her birth mother and that the actress will take her back when she comes back.
