Waterloo Bridge
On the eve of World War II, a British officer revisits Waterloo Bridge and recalls his youth at the outbreak of the war and the young ballerina he met shortly before he departed for the front. Myra gets expelled from the corps de ballet for being with him past curfew. She survives on the streets of London, plummeting even more after learning of her true love's death in action. However, he was not assassinated. Myra's hope once Roy discovers her and brings her to his family's country estate is that those dreadful years were nothing more than a bad dream.
