Caesar and his apes are drawn into a lethal struggle with an army of humans led by a vicious Colonel. Caesar's only hope of survival is to use his superior intelligence to outwit the humans. Caesar must contend with his darker tendencies and embark on his own personal legendary quest to avenge his kind after the apes suffer horrific losses. As the voyage draws to a close and eventually puts Caesar and the Colonel face to face, they are immediately thrust into an epic battle against each other that will ultimately decide the destiny of their race as well as the future of the planet.
