In World War II-era Los Angeles, the manager of the Culver Hotel deputizes his nephew for the weekend. The nephew renames the hotel the Rainbow Hotel and fills it with royalty, assassins, secret agents, Japanese tourists, and munchkins. In the midst of the intrigue and confusion, Secret Service agent Bruce Thorpe and casting director Annie Clark find romance.
