The Year of Spectacular Men
In the year following college graduation, Izzy struggles to manage the apparently endless failures of adulthood, the reality of a subpar dating pool, and a crippling phobia of top-sheets, all while squeezing in X-Files marathons. Comically unsuccessful in love over the course of a year, including five half-hearted romances with astonishingly self-centered men, Izzy resigns herself to the support of her mother and sister, all of whom are battling their own relationship issues. Izzy eventually finds the confidence to be candid and vulnerable as she sees herself reflected in others.
