Although Martin Brady escaped to Mexico many years ago for shooting the guy who murdered his father, he returns to the United States this time around to help his Mexican boss, strongman Governor Cipriano Castro, secure an arms sale for his country. During Brady's recuperation in Texas, a package of guns is stolen from his possessions. Furthermore, the wife of local army major Colton has developed feelings for him, and the local Texas Ranger captain extends him a generous invitation to return to the United States and join his unit, further complicating the situation. After shooting and murdering a guy in self defense, Brady sneaks back across the border and meets Castro, who is not only enraged that Brady has lost his gun shipment, but is also about to join forces with Colton to fight the local Apache Indians who are invading the area.
