Hanni, a farmer's wife and mother of three, is concerned about her youngest daughter, Magdalena, who is younger and more sensitive than her siblings. She is sick with the stomach flu and is unable to see clearly. Doctors only prescribe panaceas and are unconcerned about her condition. Hanni's husband and sons feel neglected as she looks for a doctor who will take Magdalena's complaints seriously. Hanni will eventually have to confront the authorities and her childhood recollections of bleak courtrooms and gloomy corridors. A courtroom thriller based on a true story and a family drama with a powerful intensity.
