The Train
As the Allied forces near Paris in August 1944, the German Colonel Von Waldheim is desperate to take all of France's best paintings to Germany. Even as the chaos of retreat sets in, he is able to get a train for the valuable art works. The French resistance, on the other hand, wants to stop them from stealing their national treasures, but they have gotten orders from London not to destroy them. The station master, Labiche, is in charge of scheduling the train and making sure everything goes smoothly. He is also part of a small group of resistance fighters who are trying to stop the theft. He and others set up a complicated plan to keep the train from ever leaving French territory.
