The innocence of youth and family is shattered in one night over a decade of sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. It's like five coming-of-age stories that show the stages of grief. A young mother who is having a custody battle with her kids finds solace in the bottle when she is stressed out about it. One of her children, a heroin addict, and the younger of her two children, a bullied gay, are still haunted by the trauma they suffered at the hands of their father, her ex-husband. Dog, teen, challenged classmate and redhead beauty all feature in this collection of tales of love, betrayal and adolescent rebellion. These and other people's lives will change forever on this last night before their favorite hangout, The Toy Soldiers Roller Rink, shuts down for the last time.
