Wart is a young lad who dreams of being a knight's squire. On a hunting excursion, Arthur meets Merlin, a strong but amnesiac magician with ambitions for him beyond squiredom. He begins by attempting to educate him, believing that an education allows one to go anyplace. Needless to say, things doesn't quite turn out that way.
