Nan, originally from the Mainland, relocates to Hong Kong in order to pursue a career as a gambler and casino dealer. She gets together with her cousin Po, who is a stuntman, and his landlord Li, who is a gambler who bets on horse races, and the three of them strive to make ends meet in the world of gambling. Nonetheless, they uncovered a scheme in which the avaricious investor Fu Hon-San stole the shares of his gambler brother Fun Hon-Hwa, who was friends with Nan.
