In this episode of the show, the Laurel and Hardy Moving Co. has a difficult job on their hands (and backs): carrying a player piano up a massive flight of steps to the home of Professor von Schwarzenhoffen. An abrasive nursemaid, as well as the impatient Professor von Schwarzenhoffen himself, make their duty more difficult to do, as they discover. The force of gravity, on the other hand, is the most difficult to deal with because it keeps pulling the piano back down to the bottom of the stairs. Last but not least, the enraged Professor explodes in fury upon discovering what he perceives to be a "mechanical blunderbuss" in his home, not realizing that it had been a surprise birthday present from his wife.
