The Mountain Men
The story revolves around two grizzled mountain men named Bill Tyler and Henry Frapp, who are living in the final days of the fur-trapping era when the story takes place. Running Moon flees from her violent husband Heavy Eagle and stumbles across the two shady fur trappers, which sets the stage for the rest of the story. While the mountain men are caring for her, they are unaware that Heavy Eagle has deployed an army of Indian braves in order to recover her.
